TRAVEL + STAY

Welcome to Tucson for TENWEST

If you’re a regular to the Old Pueblo or this is your first time, we are glad you’re joining us in downtown Tucson for TENWEST 2026. The festival takes place within downtown, creating a decentralized experience that encourages walking or taking the Sunlink shuttle. Consider this your guide to having the best time while you’re at TENWEST.

We have secured special TENWEST rates at hotels blocks away from TENWEST HQ. In addition, many attendees use AirBnB and other housesharing options.

AirBnB and other rental platforms are legal here in Tucson and are a great way to find housing during your time at TENWEST. Most downtown Tucson housing options are within walking distance to TENWEST HQ or close to a Sunlink Streetcar stop. Midtown and Eastside locations are too far to walk, so feel free to use your favorite car-sharing app or park in one of the nearby parking lots.

AIRBNB AND OTHER OPTIONS

TRAVELING TO TUCSON

Tucson is the largest city in Southern Arizona and being all about truth in advertising, we are along Interstate 10. We are accessible by highway to Phoenix and Los Angeles going west on the 10, Las Cruces and El Paso going east on I-10, San Diego on I-8, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Denver along I-25, and Nogales, Mexico on I-17.

About 20 minutes away from TENWEST HQ is the Tucson International Airport (TUS). Seven airlines provide 17 nonstop destinations and it’s a very easy airport to access. The security lines aren’t long, and there are great places to eat and drink while you wait (El Charro is our favorite!).

Once you arrive, you can rent a car from TUS with all major car rental companies, get a taxi to and from downtown Tucson, or have your driver pick you up and drop you off with the ride-sharing app of your choice.

Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix is just about two hours from TENWEST HQ. Many TENWEST participants flying into Sky Harbor either rent a car, or use a shuttle service like Groome Transportation. Or, you can be like Ryan Johnson, founder of Cul de Sac in Tempe, and take Uber or Lyft here.

Don’t want to fly? The Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle Amtrak routes stop in Tucson. We encourage you to check out Amtrak’s schedule as stop availability does change.

There are several parking lots near TENWEST HQ, as well as metered parking throughout downtown Tucson. City meters run Monday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. You’ll be provided more details about parking on the TENWEST app once we launch the app in early March.

PARKING

Welcome to food paradise! As a City of Gastronomy, we are all about great food. We got you covered in what you’ll want, and you’re in the right place for the best Mexican food in America.

Our go-to guide for all things culinary in Tucson is our friends at Tucson Foodie. They’ll keep us updated on our food scene and often have specials for viewers.

And during TENWEST, make sure to take advantage of our Lunch Links to experience downtown Tucson’s great food scene and meet new friends!
